Approved hours become Billy invoices

You connect with an API key from Billy (Indstillinger › Adgangstokens › Opret adgangstoken). Half5 then imports your customers from Billy. Half5 checks Billy regularly for changes made there.

   Paste your API key and your customers come across.

   Approve the week

   A manager approves or rejects each person's submitted hours. Managers see registered hours only, never anyone's timeline.

   Invoice

   You create the invoice from an hours report. It appears in Billy as a draft.

From an hours report you create draft invoices: one per customer, containing only billable hours that haven't been invoiced yet. If your organisation uses approval, only approved hours qualify. The draft appears in Billy.

• Customers in sync

  Customers sync both ways with Billy. A customer you add in Half5 appears there, and one from Billy can be booked on in Half5.

• VAT

  Invoice lines carry a VAT rate that Billy accepts. Reverse-charge invoices are supported.

• Sending

  Send the invoice by email through Billy, or mark it as sent yourself.

• Changes reach the draft

  As long as the invoice is still a draft in Billy, changes you make in Half5 are passed on to it.

• Hours are never billed twice

  Hours on an invoice are locked to it. Delete a draft and you choose whether its hours become billable again.
