The terms are built around the decisions customers actually make.
Procurement, finance, users and IT should immediately understand where the service starts, where responsibilities sit and how data is handled.
Clear basis
You can see who provides Half5, when these terms apply and who may act on behalf of an organisation.
Costs visible upfront
Paid functionality, payment methods and pricing changes are communicated clearly.
Boundaries and responsibility
The terms explain what users manage themselves and where Half5 sets reasonable boundaries for availability and liability.
Data remains yours
Entered data remains the user's property and personal data is processed according to the privacy statement.
The full structure in plain language.
This page follows the existing Half5 terms and makes them suitable for website visitors, buyers and users who want to quickly understand where they stand.

Applicability
These terms apply to the use of our software, website and additional services. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If separate written agreements have been made for a business rollout, those specific agreements take precedence over these general terms.
Representation
Company representatives must be authorised to act on behalf of their organisation and are responsible for actions within the software.
Account and use
Account details
During registration we ask for correct and complete information. Changes must be updated promptly so the account and administration remain accurate.
Availability
Half5 is continuously improved. We aim to provide a reliable service, but cannot guarantee that the software is always error-free or continuously available. Maintenance may cause temporary interruptions.
Usage rules
The software may not be used for illegal activities. Users must comply with legal and ethical standards and protect their login details carefully.
Incidents
Suspicions of unusual activity must be reported immediately so appropriate measures can be taken.
Costs and payment
Rates
Certain functionality may incur costs. Rates are communicated clearly on the website.
Payment
Payment is made by direct debit or credit card. Users must provide valid payment information.
Arrears and rate changes
Payment arrears may lead to additional costs and temporary suspension of services. Rate changes are communicated at least six weeks in advance.
Additional services and partners
Partner services
Additional financial services may be subject to additional terms. Those terms are set by the relevant partners.
Role of Half5
Half5 may facilitate connections with partners, but is not a party to contracts between users and those partners.
Liability and indemnification
Non-compliance
If a user violates these terms, that user is responsible for the resulting damage. This may lead to temporary or permanent blocking of the account.
Force majeure
We are not obliged to provide services in case of force majeure, such as failures with suppliers or in power and internet services. In case of prolonged force majeure, the contract may be terminated without compensation.
Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damage. Total liability per event, where related events count as one event, is limited to the amount paid by the user for Half5 in the twelve months before the event causing the damage, with a maximum of €10,000.
- No liability for indirect damage, such as lost profits, missed savings or business interruption.
- No liability for damage caused by data, hours, integrations or draft invoices not being reviewed in time by the user.
- No liability for damage caused by the absence of external copies, exports or the user's own administration outside Half5.
- No liability for legal measures, regulator instructions or services performed by partners.
- This limitation does not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness by managing persons of webRidge/Half5, or where mandatory law prohibits such limitation.
Indemnification
The user indemnifies us against third-party claims directly arising from unlawful use of Half5, breach of these terms or non-compliance with legal or contractual obligations by the user. This indemnification is limited to reasonable, demonstrable costs and damage and applies up to the same maximum of €10,000, except to the extent the claim is caused by intent or deliberate recklessness of the user.
Termination
By the user
Users can terminate the contract at any time through their account settings.
By Half5
We may terminate the contract with two months' notice. In certain cases, we may terminate the contract immediately.

Discuss terms, privacy and security before teams start.
For larger rollouts, order terms, processing terms, support agreements and integration plans can be reviewed alongside these terms.
Clear terms, safer rollout
Legal clarity should help the rollout move forward.
Half5 keeps terms, privacy, pricing and responsibilities understandable for the teams that need to approve automatic time tracking.
Trust stays intact
The raw timeline stays personal. Teams work with submitted hours, approvals and invoice-ready output.
Approval before invoicing
Managers review exceptions before finance receives clean data, so recovered hours stay explainable.
Finance and agents connect safely
Accounting, CRM, project systems and agents work with submitted hours, approvals and invoice data.
Turn legal review into a clear rollout decision.
Discuss the first team, privacy boundary, support agreements and approved data handoff before people install Half5.
Terms explain who provides Half5, what users control and how data is treated.
Privacy and trust boundaries can be reviewed before a larger rollout starts.
Order terms, support agreements and integration plans can sit next to the standard terms.
